Informed Consent
Parent/relational coaching is a partnership between the client and the coach and is a thought-provoking and creative process. This process inspires the client to maximize their personal potential. Coaching is future-focused and emphasizes achieving goals and results. The emphasis in a coaching relationship is on action, accountability, and follow-through. Coaching is less concerned with a client’s past and is more concerned with moving a client forward, while taking the past into consideration when necessary. The coaching relationship is based on viewing the client as creative, whole, and resourceful, with a partnership based on equality and mutual respect. The client creates the goals and is responsible for driving the direction of the work, while the coach supplies a supportive, discovery-based approach. Practices and solutions are generated by the client who is responsible for all action and or inaction.
